Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione
I laureati in Ostetricia avranno acquisito un'ampia e vasta gamma di conoscenze nelle scienze di base, nelle discipline caratterizzanti e nel campo della comunicazione e della gestione professionale.
In particolare dovranno conseguire solide basi culturali e scientifiche nel campo delle: scienze propedeutiche, di base, biomediche, di primo soccorso, scienze statistiche, scienze umane e psicopedagogiche, scienze ostetriche, scienze interdisciplinari e medico chirurgiche, scienze della prevenzione e dei servizi sanitari, scienze statistiche, dei metodi quantitativi e dell'aggiornamento scientifico, scienze del Management sanitario, conoscenze informatiche, conoscenza di almeno una lingua dell'Unione Europea, oltre l'italiano.
Inoltre, saranno messi in condizione di agire in condizioni di emergenza, attesa la peculiarità delle aree nelle quali si troveranno non di rado a fornire la propria opera, caratterizzate da numerose emergenze, anche belliche, con scarsa densità di personale sanitario.
La valutazione di tali conoscenze e delle capacità di comprensione sarà attuata tramite esami orali, scritti, prove pratiche simulate, journal club, relazioni scritte, compilazione di modelli dedicati.
Gli strumenti didattici saranno attività d'aula, lezioni pratiche in laboratorio e/o in locali attrezzati, tirocinio, lettura e interpretazione della letteratura internazionale.Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione
I laureati in Ostetricia saranno in grado di: realizzare interventi di valutazione delle prestazioni preventive, curative, palliative e riabilitative ostetriche, neonatali e ginecologiche; accertare, diagnosticare, pianificare, erogare e valutare l'assistenza ostetrica, neonatale e ginecologica rivolta a persone sane e malate; monitorare il benessere materno-fetale in corso di gravidanza, in corso di travaglio e parto, e in situazioni patologiche in collaborazione con lo specialista.
L'applicazione delle conoscenze si svilupperà tenendo conto di aspetti fondamentali quali la relazione interpersonale ed inter-professionale e la gestione organizzativa degli aspetti direttamente connessi alla tipologia del lavoro svolto.
Tali capacità saranno raggiunte attraverso la frequenza obbligatoria del tirocinio professionalizzante distribuito su tre anni e delle attività di laboratorio didattico distribuite tra il primo e il secondo anno.
Gli strumenti didattici saranno attività d'aula, lezioni pratiche in laboratorio e/o in locali attrezzati, tirocinio, lettura e interpretazione della letteratura internazionale.
La valutazione di tali conoscenze e delle capacità di comprensione sarà attuata tramite esami teorico/pratici, relazioni scritte e prove pratiche.Autonomia di giudizio
Descrittore Dublino 3 - Making judgements
Il laureato al termine del percorso di studi sarà in grado di svolgere, con autonomia professionale, le attività in campo ostetrico, quali:
accertare, diagnosticare, pianificare, attuare e valutare le necessità di aiuto alla donna, alla coppia, alla famiglia e alla collettività, nei vari ambiti socio-sanitari, integrando le conoscenze teoriche con quelle pratiche.
Sarà in grado di verificare la corrispondenza delle prestazioni erogate agli indicatori e standard predefiniti dal responsabile della struttura; sarà inoltre in grado di discutere gli indicatori di processo ed esito dell'evento nascita e i fattori che rendono la diade madre/feto-neonato a rischio.
Infine parteciperà alla programmazione e organizzazione del lavoro nell'ambito della struttura di appartenenza.

Il laureato al termine del percorso di studi dovrà essere in grado di gestire al meglio la comunicazione, intesa come capacità di instaurare una relazione professionale significativa e di stabilire un rapporto efficace con tutti gli altri professionisti della medesima o di altre discipline; dovrà essere in grado di fornire un'informazione ed attuare tecniche di counselling durante il ciclo di vita sessuale e riproduttivo, nel rispetto delle diverse etnie e secondo il principio della personalizzazione e dell'appropriatezza delle cure; dovrà inoltre essere capace di utilizzare gli strumenti della comunicazione in ambito sanitario, dimostrando di saper compilare la modulistica dedicata, comunicando in forma verbale e scritta in modo chiaro, conciso e professionale, tecnicamente e grammaticalmente accurato; dovrà essere in grado di comunicare in modo appropriato nei contesti scientifici, per veicolare idee, problemi e relative soluzioni.

Capacità di apprendimento

Il laureato ostetrico saprà condurre un'auto-valutazione del proprio livello formativo in modo da mantenere il proprio sapere al più alto livello richiesto per la pratica professionale e progettare percorsi di auto-formazione per implementare le proprie competenze, con particolare riferimento alle linee guida nazionali ed internazionali nell'ambito delle scienze ostetriche.
Nei tre anni acquisirà capacità di apprendimento e competenze tali da consentire, al termine del percorso, il proseguimento degli studi.
Questa capacità sarà sviluppata e verificata con la preparazione degli esami, con la frequenza e la relativa valutazione del tirocinio, nel quale viene coniugata la teoria con la pratica, con l'uso critico della letteratura scientifica e della bibliografia anche per la preparazione della prova finale.
Strumenti didattici: attività d'aula, seminari, tirocinio
La valutazione delle capacità di apprendimento, sarà attuata tramite le seguenti modalità di verifica: esami teorico-pratici, relazioni scritte e orali su aspetti tecnico/professionali, discussione di casi clinici; ricerche e produzione di materiali didattici.
Requisiti di ammissione
Possono essere ammessi al Corso di laurea i candidati che siano in possesso di diploma di scuola secondaria superiore o di altro titolo di studio conseguito all’estero riconosciuto idoneo dalla normativa vigente.
La prova di ammissione è predisposta annualmente dall’Ateneo secondo le modalità e la tempistica indicate dagli organi competenti nel rispetto delle normative vigenti.
E' altresì richiesto il possesso o l'acquisizione di un'adeguata preparazione iniziale.
I regolamenti didattici dei corsi di laurea definiscono le conoscenze richieste per l’accesso e ne determinano le modalità di verifica.
Se dalla verifica non risulta il possesso di un livello sufficiente di preparazione, possono essere indicati specifici obblighi formativi aggiuntivi da soddisfare nel primo anno di corso attraverso l’istituzione di attività formative integrative.
Le attività formative propedeutiche ed integrative possono essere svolte anche in collaborazione con istituti di istruzione secondaria o con altri enti pubblici o privati, sulla base di apposite convenzioni.
Prova finale
L'Esame finale del Corso di Laurea ha valore di Esame di Stato abilitante all'esercizio della professione e si compone di:
a.
Una prova pratica nel corso della quale lo studente deve dimostrare di aver acquisito le conoscenze e abilità teorico-pratiche e tecnico-operative proprie dello specifico profilo professionale;
b.
Redazione di un elaborato di una tesi e sua dissertazione.
Si svolge nei periodi e nei modi prescritti da apposito decreto del Ministero della Università e della Ricerca Scientifica e Tecnologica di concerto con il Ministero della Salute.
A determinare il voto di laurea, espresso in centodecimi, contribuiscono i seguenti parametri:
a) la media dei voti conseguiti negli esami curriculari espressa in centodecimi,
b) i punti attribuiti dalla Commissione dell'esame finale in sede di discussione (massimo 5 punti),
c) il punteggio conseguito nella prova pratica (massimo 6 punti).
La lode può essere attribuita per parere unanime della Commissione ai Candidati che conseguono il punteggio finale di 110/110.
I docenti relatori di tesi sono professori di prima o seconda fascia o ricercatori o professori a contratto.
Le attività formative per la preparazione della prova finale si svolgeranno nelle strutture indicate in merito alle attività professionalizzanti.Orientamento in ingresso
Sarà istituita una Commissione d'Ateneo per l'Orientamento per realizzare una politica generale di orientamento pre-universitario fondata sul rapporto diretto dell'Ateneo con i referenti delle strutture dei Paesi in Via di sviluppo che veicoleranno le candidature per analizzare congiuntamente criteri ed iniziative che riducano le difficoltà nelle scelte degli studenti nell'adattamento allo studio universitario in Italia.
La Saint Camillus, inoltre, attraverso un apposito Ufficio Orientamento, svolgerà attività di orientamento pre-universitario per facilitare, con servizi diversi, le scelte degli aspiranti studenti.Il Corso di Studio in breve
Il corso intende formare operatori sanitari dotati di un'adeguata preparazione nelle discipline di base dell'ostetricia, tale da consentire loro sia la migliore comprensione dei più rilevanti elementi, anche in relazione al genere, che sono alla base dei processi fisiologici e patologici ai quali è rivolto il loro intervento preventivo e terapeutico, sia la massima integrazione con le altre professioni.
Il raggiungimento delle competenze professionali si attua attraverso una formazione teorica e pratica che includa anche l'acquisizione di competenze comportamentali e che venga conseguita nel contesto lavorativo specifico di ogni profilo, così da garantire, al termine del percorso formativo, la piena padronanza di tutte le necessarie competenze e la loro immediata spendibilità nell'ambiente di lavoro.
Particolare rilievo, come parte integrante e qualificante della formazione professionale, riveste l'attività formativa pratica e di tirocinio clinico, svolta con la supervisione e la guida di tutori professionali appositamente assegnati, coordinata da un docente appartenente al più elevato livello formativo previsto per ciascun profilo professionale e corrispondente alle norme definite a livello europeo.
I laureati della Saint Camillus saranno inoltre pronti ad operare in aree particolarmente disagiate, in cui spesso le patologie sono virulente.
In questo contesto sarà adottata una impostazione logica nella progettazione del corso e nella distribuzione dei pesi specifici, adatta ad interpretare la logica inaugurata dal 2006 dall'OMS (WHO)in collaborazione con l'OGAC (Office of the United States Global AIDS Coordinator) che ha lanciato il “Task Shifting Project”.
In pratica, il Progetto, constatata l'impossibilità di dare una ragionevole risposta in tempi accettabili all'endemica carenza di operatori sanitari a tutti i livelli, ha ipotizzato che un certo numero di attività, solitamente espletate da professionisti più qualificati, possa essere appannaggio di operatori meno specializzati.
La “delega delle competenze” può fare un uso più efficiente delle risorse umane attualmente disponibili.
Ad esempio, quando i ginecologi scarseggiano, un'ostetrica qualificata -opportunamente preparata- può prescrivere e dispensare efficacemente terapie che nei Paesi occidentali é presidiata solo dai medici.
Lo studente espliciterà le proprie scelte al momento della presentazione,
tramite il sistema informativo di ateneo, del piano di completamento o del piano di studio individuale,
secondo quanto stabilito dal regolamento didattico del corso di studio.

Aim of the teaching is to provide students with knowledge on the fundamentals of applied physics, biochemistry, medical genetics and biology necessary to the performance of their future activity. At the end of the course, the students will know the fundamental concepts of application of the Scientific Method to the study of biomedical phenomena (choice and measure of parameters, evaluation of errors), they will be able to describe physical phenomena of complex systems using suitable mathematical tools, they will know the scientific basis of medical procedures and principles of functioning of the equipment commonly used for diagnostics and therapeutics. Students will learn knowledge on the structure, function, and regulation of biological macromolecules (carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids and proteins). To acquire basic knowledge on the main metabolic pathways and cycles with particular regard to carbohydrate, lipid and amino acid metabolism. Students will learn with knowledge on the main notions on inheritance of monogenic, chromosomal and multifactorial diseases. At the end of the course the student will be able to distinguish the main classes of genetic diseases and to recognize the modes of transmission of hereditary diseases. Students will learn knowledge related to the physiological and morphological characteristics of cells, as functional units of living organisms. Another important goal is to utilize the experimental method to understand the biological mechanisms that regulate life and as a tool for the study of pathological processes.

The Biochemistry course aims to provide students with the biochemical basis necessary for understanding the relationship between structure and function of the main classes of biomolecules. General pathology and physiopathology

Knowledge of the following objective will be essential: structure of different microorganisms, microbial pathogenicity, interactions between micro-organism and host, causes and mechanisms of onset of the main microbial aetiology diseases. In addition, knowledge of bacterial, viral, mycotic or protozoal infections of gynaecological and obstetric interest will be indispensable in order to identify potential clinical problems during professional activity. Moreover, the course introduces to the understanding of the mechanisms and phenomena that underlie human pathologies, in particular the changes in the state of health, the main exogenous and endogenous causes of disease, the fundamental mechanisms of disease and the biological mechanisms of defence, reaction to damage, regeneration and repair, as well as knowledge of the main aspects of the pathophysiology of organs and systems with particular reference to particular biological needs during pregnancy. The course’s aim is to allow the students 1) to learn on aspects of cell pathology and of the alterations of the integrated functions of tissues, organs, and systems, which may turn useful in the technical setting, and 2) to provide the knowledge of the main biomarkers for the evaluation of physiology and pathological conditions of the human body.

Acquire the ability to detect and identify the most prevalent endocrine and metabolic disorders based on their clinical features. Knowing the main laboratory and imaging tests required for the diagnostic procedure. These objectives will be achieved through lectures, seminars and interactive teaching activities with presentation and discussion of clinical cases, designed to facilitate the learning process and to improve the student ability to identify and deal with the main endocrine and metabolic disorders.

(objectives)
The main learning objective is the knowledge of the principal characteristics and determinants of the markets functioning. Particular focus will be devoted to the study of the healthcare sector. Students are expected to learn how an economic policy is designed and implemented with particular regard to the understanding of the relationships between health and economic growth. Market failures will be considered as the main rationale to understand the role of governmental authorities in order to reduce social costs deriving from externalities, moral hazard, adverse selection and, in general, asymmetric information. Finally, students will learn the use of economic analysis and cost -benefit approach to evaluate public policies with particular focus to healthcare and the evaluation of new health professional roles. Basic business tools, useful for understanding the managerial dynamics of both public and private structures, will be provide to the students. Moreover, the students must acquire knowledges of epidemiology and prophylaxis of infectious and non-infectious diseases.
