| Module: Dermatologia
(objectives)
The course aims primarily to provide the basics of anatomy and physiology of the skin, visible mucous membranes and skin appendages whose knowledge is fundamental for a correct clinical-diagnostic framework. The student will be guided to the identification, evaluation, distinction of elementary lesions of the skin and oral cavity. and the main dermatological pathologies that may affect the oral cavity, as well as the knowledge of the most modern diagnostic techniques to allow a critical diagnosis of the pathological pictures, also making use of histopathological correlations. An integral part of the course will be allergy and professional dermatology, oncological dermatology and possible therapeutic options. These objectives will be achieved through lectures, monothematic seminars and interactive teaching activities. The student, through the notions, skills and competences acquired in a dynamic way and an integrated and reasoned approach, will be able to face and solve the main questions posed by the presence of an oral lesion.

| Module: Patologia speciale odontostomatologica
(objectives)
he aim of the Special Odontostomatological Pathology course is to provide the student with the fundamental notions of etiological factors, pathogenetic mechanisms, clinical aspects and diagnostic-therapeutic protocols of pathologies that may affect the anatomical structures of dental competence. At the end of the course, the student must have acquired: - knowledge of the etiopathogenetic processes underlying the onset of diseases of the oral cavity; - skills in the field of oral medicine with the aim of recognizing conditions other than normal from the physical examination, in order to perform a correct prevention and therapy of oral diseases; - the techniques and maneuvers of physical semeiotics and knowing how to use them correctly according to the criteria and the "consecutive" logic of clinical methodology in oral medicine; - knowledge of diagnostic investigations and therapeutic protocols for diseases of the oral cavity; - the elements of the clinical methodology for the correct research and critical interpretation (also from a physiopathological point of view) of the physical, functional, instrumental and laboratory findings, for the purposes of diagnosis and prognosis of oral pathology; - the ability to associate oral problems with systemic pathologies and to apply their knowledge in order to carry out a correct prevention of oral diseases. - the ability to perform a differential diagnosis of the main pathological pictures and an appropriate choice of diagnostic and therapeutic strategies; - a diagnostic method with a multidisciplinary approach to the clinical case, in collaboration with other figures of the health team.
