Medicina interna
(objectives)
The Internal Medicine teaching intends to provide knowledge on the pathophysiological and clini-cal aspects of the main internal diseases with reference to potentially intersectable problems with dental diseases. The aim is to allow the acquisition of fundamental semeiological and methodological knowledge that allows the correct clinical interpretation of symptoms and signs of disease and the setting of the correct diagnostic-therapeutic path. Knowledge of the etiopathogenesis, physiopathology and clinic and elements of differential diagnosis of the main internal diseases in order to evaluate the patient's general state of health and the relationships between the systemic pathology and that of the oral cavity. Clinical emergencies and the indications for their treatment in the dental practice will be provided.
