The module aims to promote the knowledge on the human development in the first 1000 days, with a focus on the human microbiome and the epigenetic and neurobehavioural aspects. The areas of learning will include the nurturing fatherhood and its role in early cognitive development; the prevention of male violence and abuse against women and children; the support in the first 1000 days to dyads and migrant families; the support in situations of humanitarian emergency and natural disasters. The development of communication and technical-scientific skills will continue, with a focus to the management of complex cases during breastfeeding with a culturally sensitive approach. At the end of this course, students will be able to manage infant feeding, with attention to the promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding to help parents in decision-making processes.

At the end of this course, students will be able to manage infant feeding, with attention to the promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding to help parents in decision-making processes. The students will have understood the specific notions about the indications and the different recommended methods for the induction of labour.
