Experimental Medicine and Biochemical Sciences, School of Medicine, University of Rome “Tor Vergata, 1, Via Montpellier, Rome 00133, Italy Tel. +39-6-72596460; (e-mail. mei@med.uniroma2.it) Education and Academic position: 1987 Graduated in Physics at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". 1994-2004 Researcher in Biochemistry c/o the Medicine Faculty at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". 2004-present Associate Professor in Biochemistry c/o the Medicine Faculty at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". Publications Giampiero Mei has published more than 50 papers on international journals, with a total IF greater than 150. Fellowships: 1987-1993 Fellowship of the Italian Society of Biophysics and Molecular Biology. Fellowship of the Italian Education Department. Fellowship of the Italian National Research Council (C.N.R.). Fellowship of the Skin Laboratory of the IDI-IRCCS Unit research group. Teaching: Master classes 1993-present Professor Giampiero Mei has been teaching since 1993, Physics, Biophysics and Biochemistry for several classes of the Medical School, c/o Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" . 2002-present Professor Giampiero Mei has been also teaching since 2002 at the School of Engineering, c/o Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", for the following issues: “Simulation and modelling of biologic system” “Structure and dynamics of cells” Teaching: Ph.D. Schools “Robotics and Informatics in Surgery ”, c/o Medical Faculty at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" . Scientific activity Protein structure to function relationship: conformational stability studies of proteins; kinetic measurements of the folding/unfolding process of metal containing proteins; structure to function relationship of LDL protein; structural and functional behavior of enzymes under high pressure condition.
